  Sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) in humanitarian settings represent a profound betrayal of trust, one that undermines the very mission of aid organizations to protect and serve vulnerable communities. Recognizing this urgent issue,  Climate Health Connect (CHC)  recently hosted a critical training session on  Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) , equipping participants with tools to identify, report, and combat SEA in humanitarian work.  In a time when leadership is often chosen by tribe or token promises, a group of determined youth in Wajir gathered for a different kind of conversation—one rooted in truth, justice, and the power of women to shape a better future. This past week, WYFYAD (Wajir Youth for Youth and Development) , in partnership with YADEN East Africa and with the generous support of IOM – UN Migration , hosted a transformative Civic Education and Anti-Radicalization Workshop . The workshop brought together passionate young people from across Wajir, including a strong and vocal group of young women—sisters, wives, and mothers—ready to take their place at the forefront of change. The message was clear: women and youths are not just victims of bad governance—they are agents of change .   It was a memorable day for our organization as we launched a soccer tournament for Barwaqo teams, the tournament is aimed; 1. T ackling drug and substance of abuse.  2. E ngaging youth and bring friendship and cohesiveness among the youth 3.  fostering good neighborhood among the teams. 4. Doing civic education. The tournament is divided into two categories  1. Under 23 teams which include,   AL ansar, heritage, Silva boys, Super boys, Al riyadh, Qaam fc 2. MENTORSHIP On 10th march 2024  we had a fruitful drug and substance of abuse mentorship  with this year's SABUNLEY SECONDARY SCHOOL candidates and we manage to share the  IEC  materials which were provided to us by NACADA. The event which was organized by our able FOUNDER AND CEO, Abdihafit, was meant to enlighten youth with the negative effect of drug abuse. from our organization's recent analysis, we come to realize that our youth are joining bad company especially drug addicts at a higher rate and the most affected youth are the school going youths.  Today WAJIR YOUTH FOR YOUTH AND DEVELOPMENT had a successful activity after we had givwn out free mask to the youth who are the key factors in the community, we earlier (read my post earlier) given out free mask to peasant moms who sell vegetables and have a high contact with their customer when measuring and touching the items. We are working hard to ensure that our community are free from the enemy covid 19. We thank all of our friends who contributed and more so Al-khair foundation for their support. May god bless them.
